NOW we’re getting somewhere again!

Though I missed a couple of workouts this week, the overall effort was loads better than it has been, well, all year so far. Between covid and Pliny the Cat, things have been a bit scattered, but this week turned out quite well if I do say so. I did miss my swims – poor old pool! – but by and large got the rest done, and done well. I give myself a B+, maybe even an A-. Not to brag. 😉

Now, let’s get on with the week ahead.

Monday: I’m starting the week off by doing the marathon repeats run I didn’t do today due to a headache. Then for a two-a-day, I’ll hit up RowHouse for a class! 

Tuesday: Another two-a-day on Tuesday: 30-90s on the bike for an hour with my dad in the morning, and then a 25-minute easy run later on in the day.

Wednesday: Run speedwork day! We’ve got some decreasing intervals on the docket for 1:05, which I’ll probably do on the treadmill. I know some people hate on the tready, but I happen to love it for these kinds of workouts!

Thursday: Thursday brings an easy ride on the bike for an hour (probably with my dad again!), and then later on a workout at RowHouse.

Friday: We’ll finish out the week in the pool (can it be true?!) with 50 minutes of sprint 50s. Should be peppy! 🙂

Saturday: Saturday will bring over-unders on the bike for 1:15; I’ll probably do this with my TriDot team on Zwift, which always makes the time fly by! After that we’ve got a 20-minute brick run.

Sunday: The Sunday long run cometh! This week is slated to be a 1:10 effort and I’m really looking forward to it.
