Well, here we are at the dawn of a new week! Time is flying, but I’m working hard to embrace every workout – and every day.

Before we take a look ahead, let’s have a look back at last week’s performance. I’m proud to say I got nearly every workout completed save for my Friday swim (I was just completely worn-down after 10 days without a rest day!) and my Saturday bike, which as you may remember from last week was going to hang in the balance after a long morning of work. I just couldn’t find time to knock it out after my event was over! But no matter. We’re coming into taper time, so a little extra rest isn’t the end of the world.

And speaking of the taper – race week is here again! I’m coming into the week a bit beaten-up after last week’s fall, but I’m sure excited about the possibilities for a great day on the course. Here’s what I’ve got cooking from now til then.

Monday: We start the week in the pool with an hourlong ladder workout, which I feel good about. I’m getting my swimming mojo back, and not a moment too soon!

Tuesday: A 35-minute race week run is on the docket for Tuesday! It feels strange to be doing so little on the roads, but my body will be so happy with the extra rest.

Wednesday: An hourlong easy Zwift ride with my dad will be waiting in the middle of the week!

Thursday: We’re back with a 25-minute easy run on Thursday to shake the legs out.

Friday: A 45-minute easy ride! To be perfectly honest I may not do this workout, but I’m keeping it on here anyway for posterity.

Saturday: Race day!

Sunday: God bless TriDot for giving me a day off postrace. The app can be kind to me when it wants to be! 🙂
