Friends, I’m not sure if anybody missed this last week, but if it makes you feel any better, I missed YOU! 🙂 I missed writing this little weekly missive and holding myself accountable for the week ahead. You’ll be pleased to know that I actually was quite faithful to last week’s training, despite not logging it here – but I have no doubt that I’ll be even MORE fidelitous this week, with you watching. So thanks. 😉
Let’s get on with the week ahead!
Monday: I dragged myself out of bed before the crack of dawn to head over to the Y for my Threshold 100/200 swim, which went well (if I do say so). Then this evening I biked over to the Row House for a Strength workout, for I am decidedly in the “use it or lose it” stage of life. Ahem.
Tuesday: I’ve got an hourlong Threshold Intervals ride to do tomorrow. Sadly my dad has a work thing early so he can’t join me on Zwift, so I will have to carry on with dignity.
Wednesday: Speedwork day! A 1:10 progression run is on the docket, which I’ll probably do at the Y in order to make use of the treadmill. I do love a speedwork session on the treadmill, as you know!
Thursday: An hourlong easy ride with my dad to start the day, then probably a workout at Row House later on. There’s a chance I’ll do a Friday Row House workout instead, but I think Thursday is more likely.
Friday: I’m back in the pool on Friday for a 50-minute Broken 200s workout, which I’m looking quite forward to. I think I’m getting my swim mojo back slowly but surely!
Saturday: I’ve got a 1:55 Threshold and Hold workout on the docket, followed closely by a 20-minute transition run. I may not ride with the TriDot crew, as the ride starts so late! But I’ll certainly miss the company if I decide to go solo.
Sunday: The long run cometh! I’ve got 1:45 to do and am really looking forward to it. There’s nothing like a long run to let the thoughts just flow. It’s one of my favorite times of the week!
Have a great week, friends!
