Well, friends, after a week of downcast mood following a wonderful trip home, I am back in business! And despite the grey mental days last week, I managed to do pretty ding-dang week on my training, only missing – surprise, surprise! – my swims. Which I am committed to knocking out this week – and am off to a great start, if I do say so!
Here’s the plan for the week:
Monday: I started the week strong with a nice swim in the morning and a strength workout at Row House in the evening (which, I might add, I am still feeling nearly 24 hours later).
Tuesday: Today I met my dad in the wonderful world of Watopia on Zwift to enjoy a nice hourlong easy ride, which was a blast as usual.
Wednesday: Midweek brings with it some speedwork! I’ll probably hit the treadmill for my 1:05 fartlek workout and am looking forward to it already.
Thursday: An hourlong threshold interval bike workout is on the books, which I’ll tackle on Zwift – sadly without my dad, as he will be at a doctor’s appointment early in the morning.
Friday: A 50-minute Broken 150s swim workout is in my future, along with my second Row House workout of the week.
Saturday: It must be the start of the season again! My bike workout has ticked upward to a 2:05 threshold and hold effort, followed by a 20-minute brick run. I’m aiming to ride with my TriDot teammates on Zwift for the bike – they always make the time fly by!
Sunday: One of my favorite parts of the week – long run time! I have 1:10 in my future and am excited about every second of it.
Have a great week, friends!
